Find a penny, pick it up,
all day long you'll have good luck.
Give it to a friend and then
Their good luck will never end.
Of course, in the world of Faery, they don't have pennies. But they've applied the mortal's saying to dragons, as they're just as common...
This fae's found a little hatchling...is she debating whether to keep him, or give him to friend?

Erm...yeah ^.^ Funny, I did scan some 'change' for my Dutch friend, she had seen 'dollars' on movies n' tv etc. But she hadnt' seen our coinage. Quarter, dime, nickel and penny. (largest to smallest), Also have fifty cent (half dollar) and dollar silver pieces but they are "rare", kinda like we have 2 dollar bills but I dont' see them as often as I did when I was little. Strange... O.o
Anyway, they are THINKING of getting rid of the penny, you need 100 of them to make a dollar so eh...but they help make change better. *shrugs* Once upon a time you could get candy for a penny or nickel but well they are becoming obsolete. *sighs*
I feel old now mwhahahah...

Hah - yip, it's a 100 pennies to the pound here as well! But they ain't getting rid of our pennies...
We have pennies, 5 penny pieces (5p), 10 penny pieces (10p), 20 penny pieces (20p), 50 penny pieces (50p), one pound coins and two pound coins. Then we're into notage - £5 note, £10 note, £20 note and £50 note. There are the rare £5 coins, but they're more collectors items, and not seen much in everyday use, though they are accepted by some shops. I remeber when we had just the £5 note, and just the £1 coin, and not the £5 coin or £2 coin...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
