Oooh. Thief, The Dark Project remains one of my ALL TIME favorite games; the very first First Person Stealth game!

Lovely arts!

I do like how I'm clearly a rubbish apprentice, he's all stealthy keeping to the shadows and I'm just standing there like 'oh hellz yes look at me, you know you wouldn't want -this- to hide' :p

That's REALLY good. Considering it contains Poser content! (Sorry, I'm a bit hard on Poser, probably because of the number of badly proportioned, badly rendered naked 'women' 15 year old boys insist on publishing to the whole wide world - for some inexplicable reason. I have nothing against naked women (of any proportion): my best friend in all the world had been naked from time to time... er... *cough* Let's not get entirely off-topic here... what was I talking about?) Oh yes. The shadows are superb eg the lighting is very effective; great atmosphere; good subject matter; well composed; good textures (you might want to revisit the window frame) and perfect posing which is the idea, really. I bow to your poser skills and sense of vision and perfect understanding of dramatic scene. I would try for a 'I am not worthy' emoticon but, even though I saw it once, I can't find it (and I've gone through the list several times - damn you DA!)!

 Sorry, couldn't help fall out of my chair laughing at that.  It's hard to type from the floor...

Me too! I thought the undead were a bit over-the-top and you soon learn to hate them - I had problems with the living never mind walking corpses! But it was still one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've had.

I'd love to know if anyone listened to music while they played atmospheric games and subsequently, appropriately or not, associate the music with the atmosphere and 'world' the game created. eg, for me: Orbital - Doom; Art of Noise - Dungeon Keeper. I can't remember what I was listening to with Thief though Guru Josh may have been, regrettably, involved.
