I think this might replace the other feb one. I didn't think - feb = valentine's day....duh! lol! Plus I'm happier with the way this one came out. Now I need to start work on the other months....

Yeah, this is looks much better, both in concept and overall realism :D the other horse looked kinda lonely - we don't want a lonely horse of valentines day (unless you really are single like me, and your evil side kinda resents seeing OTHER's in love on the day :shakefist:) But oh well, this is nicer :aww:

is that cottage from Cornucopia 3D? I might need something like that for a deviation I have in mind for Christmas...but I guess it depends on how much it costs, because I can't image I'd use it often :p

Yeah, I discovered how to link bump maps to textures which helped a lot, and spent more time on the terrain than on the last one. And I know EXACTLY what you mean about Valentine's Day. I tend to curl up with a soppy DVD or film then and mooch about being single....heh!

Er, yeah, I think it was from cornucopia. I've used it a few times now, it's a really nice model. Since I bought it, I don't think it cost that much.

Oh yeah, that's another thing I forgot to mention...the terrain below their feet looks brilliant, probably the best close-up snow covered terrain I've seen :clap: it might be the soft shadows that help too :clap:

Lol, and yeah - valentines day is the day when half of the worlds population is happier, and half even more miserable...they should get rid of it I reckon, it can't be good for a single person's self esteem :lonely: high school was the worst :crying:

Thank you! Though you have NO idea how many hours I spent making minor tweaks of their feet to get them to sit in it properly.... lol! And yeah, soft shadows are a definite bonus!

Ugh, tell me about it. I went to an all-girls school with an all-boys just down the road. They had a special Valentine's Day thing where they could buy a single rose and send it to a girl in our school. So there was much excitement when one of use got a rose - course, I never did....

Beautiful! It's amazing everything was done with software. It looks so real! What software did you use for the snow?

I bet da Vinci wishes he was alive today so he could do computer art. Of course, I wish da Vinci was alive today so I could ask him where he bought his clothes.

This is real nice. Good comp and lightning and the winter atmosphere is great!
